APRIL 13-- Pickwick Landing State Park is the place to be Saturday for kids hunting Easter eggs.
The park’s annual Easter egg hunt is at 1 p.m. in the field between the Counce Post Office and the Pickwick Landing State Park Office. Age groups are 2-4, 5-7 and 8-10.
“There are 1,000 plastic eggs with candy hidden for each age group,” said Ranger Tim Dudley. “One prize egg per age group will contain a voucher for a bicycle.”
Each voucher has a monetary value toward a bicycle at Walmart.
For the youngest age group, the voucher is $80. The middle group’s voucher is $100 and the oldest group’s voucher is $120.
“There’s a lot of candy for everyone and for the person who wins the voucher, they’re extra lucky,” said Dudley.
Pickwick Landing State Park staff expect around 300 children.
