Lillie “Marie” Bryant, 59, was born on April 23, 1956. She left her home on Friday, Dec. 18.
She leaves behind her husband of 35 years, George S. Bryant; two sons, Eddie and Paul French; one stepdaughter, Kelly Fort; and one stepson, Britt Bryant; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Tucker Slover of Covington, Tennessee, Barbara Simmions of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Bobby McCullar of Little Rock, Arkansas, Patty Taylor of Clinton, Illinois, Danny Hall of Halls, Tennessee, Nancy McGuire of Tuscumbia, Alabama and Jean Disney of Texas.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Allen; and one brother, Johnny Trice of Tennessee.
After retiring to Tennessee from Arizona, Marie and George bought a home in Savannah where they put up a yearly haunted barn for the locals free of charge. She loved to see young children and hear their voices.
A memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 3 p.m., at Shiloh Park Methodist Church. There will be a visitation after the service. From Crump go south on Tenn. 22. At second entrance of Shiloh National Military Park, turn left into park. Go to stop sign, turn right. Church is 150 yards on left.
