Glenn Ray Card Sr., 72, of Adamsville, died on Wednesday, May 10, in Memphis.
He was born in Wheeler, Texas, the son of the late Thomas Evil and Alma Jo Seymour Card. He was united in marriage to Virginia Lee Fowler, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Card was a mechanic for Tom’s Truck Stop in Milledgeville. He also worked for River City Concrete and El Paso Gas. He was a member of Old Union Church.
He is survived by his three children, Alma Lee Mendez of Selmer, Glen Ray Card Jr. of Morris Chapel and Benny Ray Card of Savannah; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Jimmy Card of Chico, California, John Wayne Card of Sacramento, California and Junior Hoggatt of Orville, California.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Card and Cleason Hoggatt.
Services were held on Saturday, May 13, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Phil Bridges officiating. Burial followed in Emmanuels Tabernacle Cemetery at Stantonville.
