Annie Lucille Franklin, Mishawaka, Indiana, aged 97, passed away Thursday, May 11, at the Health Winn Nursing Home in South Bend, Indiana.
She was born in Kendrick, Mississippi, to Ed and Annie Myrtle Kiddy Sandusky.
She grew up in and around Savannah and married Jessie Zar Franklin in Savannah. They moved to Mishawaka, Indiana, in the early 1950s. Lucille was a member of the Current Road Church of Christ in Mishawaka, Indiana.
She is survived by one son, Jessie Eugene Franklin of South Bend, Indiana; one daughter, Barbara Ann Walden in the Cardinal Nursing Home, South Bend, Indiana; four granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Cagle of Tishomingo, Mississippi and Shelby Pigg of Tuscumbia, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Franklin; her father, Ed Sandusky, her mother, Annie Sandusky; two daughters, Jackie Nell Franklin and Amanda Franklin; one grandson; five brothers, RD Sandusky, GC Sandusky, JE Sandusky, Howard Sandusky and Kenith Sandusky; and one nephew.
Lucille’s services were handled by Hahn’s Funeral Home of Mishawaka, Indiana.
