Wilma Tidwell Hodges, of Middleton, Tennessee, formerly of Savannah, departed this life on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 4 days.
She was born in Waterloo, Alabama on June 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Lonnie Sevier Tidwell and Mattie Lee Fox Tidwell.
Wilma had worked for Aqua Glass for 20 years. She loved her flower garden, her family, and making people laugh. She was of Freewill Baptist belief.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Goodman and husband Dan of Middleton, Tennessee; son, Terry Hodges of Savannah; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sister, Inez Stricklin of Savannah; and brother, Leon Tidwell of Savannah.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Hodges; sons, Jerry Hodges and Eugene Hodges; and a grandson, Jerry Robert Hodges.
Services were held on Thursday, Nov. 2, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Carl Copeland officiating. Burial followed in Hollands Creek Cemetery at Savannah.
