Lack of TCAP scores won't delay Hardin County report cards

May 23– Hardin County Director of Schools Michael Davis says a waiver has been requested by the school system to calculate Hardin County students’ final grades without TCAP scores.

Davis said all Tennessee school systems were notified earlier this week that there would be a delay of at least 10 days in the release of TCAP scores for students in grades three through eight.

“The Tennessee Department of Education gave us a couple of choices,” Davis said. “We could postpone end-of-year final grades until scores were released or request a waiver allowing grades to be tabulated without TCAP scores. We decided to request the waiver and were granted the waiver the following day.”
