Dec. 23– The Highway Patrol will conduct two roadblocks in Hardin County on New Year’s Eve, the Tennessee Department of Safety announced.
Starting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31, a driver license roadside safety checkpoint is planned for Tenn. 203 near Horse Creek bridge.
At 11:30 p.m., a sobriety roadside safety checkpoint is to be manned by state troopers on Tenn. 128 north of Pickwick Dam.
According to the safety department, impaired driving kills more than 16,000 people and injures 305,000 every year in the United States.
