Online threat prompts lockdown at high school

Sept. 26– Adamsville Junior-Senior High School is on lockdown this morning following a threat made on the online message board Topix.

Posted anonymously under the name "Sniper," the post says, "Hmm. Will there be a school shooting tomorrow?"

The message prompted a swift response from local and state law enforcement agencies. Officers armed with shotguns are on the scene, and students lined up to be checked for weapons by another officer with a metal detector.
