Barbara McConnell, 81, of Savannah, passed away on Friday, Nov. 15, the daughter of the late Elmer and Kathleen Banks Wesson.
She was united in marriage to Albert McConnell, who preceded his wife in death.
Barbara lived in the Cerro Gordo Community for over 30 years. She owned and operated Smoky Road Motors car lot in the Cerro Gordo community with her husband, Albert, for over 20 years. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Wesson; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her sons, Johnny McConnell and Steve McConnell; daughter, Jane Baker; brothers, Douglas Wesson, Kenneth Wesson, Donny Wesson, Billy Wesson, and Bobby Wesson; and sister, Maudie Wesson.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 21, at 1p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Johnny Burns officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
