Donna Marie Davison Bevis, 72, of Counce, departed this life on Friday, Dec. 13. She was born on June 8, 1952, in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late George “Jim” Davison and Artie Blanche Caperton Davison.
On Aug. 12, 1978, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Bevis, who survives.
Donna attended Grace Chapel in Pickwick, Tennessee. She was an excellent seamstress and would often make clothing, curtains, and clothes for her grandchildren’s dolls. She was also an excellent cook and would prepare delicious meals for her family. Donna enjoyed shopping, eating out, Christian music, and lighthouses. She loved her fur babies and spending time with her grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James “Jim” Bevis of Counce, Tennessee; son, Zachariah Bevis (Abigail) of Nashville, Tennessee; daughter, Miriam Farris (Chris) of Savannah, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Caroline Bevis, James Wyatt Bevis, Clara Farris, Audrianna Farris, Enoch Farris, Elijah Farris, and Evan Farris.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sisters, Elaine Brewer and Kaye Plunk.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Dec. 19, 2 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Don Elliot officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
