Dorothy Vickery

Dorothy Nell Franks Vickery, 81, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, Nov. 3, the daughter of Hailey and Myrtle Price Franks, who preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage to Haggard Vickery, who preceded her in death.
Dorothy moved in with her daughter, Sandra and her husband Kenneth, after her house was lost in a flood in 2010. She worked at Clifton Manufacturing until she retired.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra J. Thompson; brother, Dave Franks; and sisters, Mackie Johnson, and Linda Fisher.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kenneth Thompson; brothers, Ellis Franks, Bud Franks, Donald Franks, and Junior Franks; and sisters, Mary Ellen Franks Frazier, Marie Franks Copeland and Rosie Franks Stricklin.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Joe Loncar officiating. Burial followed at Lutts Cemetery in Lutts, Tennessee.
