Douglas Morton Wiley, 90, of Savannah, passed away at Azura Memory Care in Wausau, Wisconsin, on Friday, Jan. 10, the son of the late James and Wilhelmina Wiley.
Douglas was married to Bonnie Mae Taylor, who preceded him in death.
Douglas graduated from Luther College in 1959, where he studied mathematics. He spent two years in the U.S. Army and then worked for Northwestern Bell and US West for 30 years.
Douglas and Bonnie Wiley retired in 1989 and in 1994 they docked their boat on Pickwick Lake and made Savannah home. They were very involved in their community including the Bruton Branch Homeowners Association, Pyburn Union Church and local charities like CAM and RHEMA Shelter.
Douglas is survived by four children, Laura, Sarah, Paul and Thomas; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the Wiley family recommends contributions to Pyburn Union Church.
Douglas’s celebration of life service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Pyburn Union Church, 345 Pyburns Drive, Savannah, TN 38372.
Everyone is welcome for a viewing and pre-service reception with the family at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
There will be a reception in the Pyburn Union Church fellowship hall from 12-1 p.m.
