Ferrel Glover, 83, of Manchester, Tennessee, formerly of Shiloh, passed away on Friday, Aug. 9. He was born on Aug. 27, 1940, on Shiloh Battlefield and will be laid to rest just across from where he was born, in the Shiloh cemetery alongside his mother Notra, father, Allen, and many other members of the Glover family.
He was one of six siblings. His siblings are Mary Bell Carroll, Robbie Waters, Donna Chval, Allen Glover and Wayne Glover.
He lived most of his life in Hardin County and considered it home. He was known as a very generous man never denying help to anyone.
He is survived by 3 siblings, Mary Bell, Robbie (Bit), and Wayne,; his son Robert; granddaughters, Lauren Glover and Krysten Glover; and three great-grandchildren, Preston, Harrison and Gabby.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Ralph Callens and Wesley Jackson officiating. Burial followed at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery in Shiloh, Tennessee.
