Gary Talley

Gary Lynn Talley, 76, of Savannah, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 5, in Memphis, Tennessee, as a result of a tragic car accident. His wife, Sue Talley, passed away a few hours before him due to her injuries from the same accident. He was the son of Doris Phillips Talley and the late Benjamin Franklin Talley.
He was united in marriage to Suzanne Marie Breese.
Gary worked in the maintenance department for the Hardin County Board of Education. He was a member of Twin Creeks Hunting Club.
Gary is survived by his children, Shawn Talley, Johnny Shelby, Robin Beam, and Timmy Talley; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; mother, Doris Talley; stepmother, Patsy Talley; sisters, Beverly Parmly, Patricia Lee, Teresa Gordon, Venesa Sheffield, and Diana Scott; and sister-in-law, Danna Talley.
In addition to his father and wife, he was preceded in death by one infant sister; and one brother, Jeffery Talley.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, Nov. 10, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Tony Morrow officiating. Burial followed at Campground Cemetery in Savannah.
