James A. Eckhardt

James A. Eckhardt 78, of Saltillo, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton, Ohio, on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024.
Jim was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend. Jim served in the U.S. National Guard for 4 years. He retired from General Motors after 41 years as a truck driver, retiring to Saltillo. He was passionate about family genealogy, he enjoyed woodworking and took great pride in working on his barn projects which brought him immense joy.
He is survived by his children, Alisa (Steve) Elliot, Michelle Bilbrey, Daron Eckhardt and Tiffany Holbrook (Caleb); and 13 grandchildren.
Jim’s celebration of life was held on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home in Germantown, Ohio.
