Jimmy Wayne Young, 72, of Michie, departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 16, in Jackson, Tennessee. He was born on July 9, 1952, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Jessie Willard and Frankie Lee Adams Young.
On Nov. 20, 1970, he was united in marriage to Deborah “Debbie” Turner, who preceded her husband in death on Nov. 16, 2019.
Jimmy retired from Packaging Corporation of America where he worked as an electrician for 17 years. He previously worked for Tri-State Electric for 13 years. Mr. Young was a member of I.B.E.W., from 1974 until 2010, and Counce First Baptist Church in Counce, Tennessee. He was also a first responder for 20 years for the Hardin County Fire Department, District 3.
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Conley (Daniel) and Shelly Soria (Tony); sister, Brenda Barden; brothers, Harold Young and Wallace Young; brother-in-law, Bryan Turner; mother-in-law, Frances Turner; grandchildren, Wayne Replogle (Selina), Tanner Conley, Levi Harvill (Sarah), Jesse Harvill (Chloe), Alayna Soria, Jayce Roberts, Owen Roberts, and Taylor Murphy; great-grandchildren, Aetha Replogle, John Baylor Harvill, Luca Replogle, Chandler Claire Harvill, Alba Replogle, and Abigail Turner; niece, Michelle Roberts; and nephews, Joel Turner Jr. (Carey) and Greg January (Kim).
In addition to his parents and wife, Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Jerrie Ann Young Hooper; father in law, Joel Hubert Turner; and brother in law, Tommy Turner.

Memorial services were held on Monday, Jan. 20, at First Baptist Church in Counce, Tennessee, with Rev. Jimmie McChristial officiating. Burial followed at Shanghai Cemetery in Counce, Tennessee.
