Jonathan Forrest Garner, 35, of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 23. He was born on June 19, 1988, in Madison County, Tennessee, the son of Sherry Gray Garner and the late Jim Garner.
On Sept.14, 2019, he was united in marriage to Kayla Mullinax, who survives.
Jonathan worked as a drafter for Sparks Custom Fabrication since June of 2021 and previously worked for Clayton Homes. He enjoyed sports of all types, especially basketball and baseball, and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Volunteers. He liked to mow the yard with Beau, bowl with Blakely, and watch Delray play. Jonathan loved his children very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a member of Savannah Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Kayla Garner of Savannah; daughters, Blakely Gray Mullinax and Delray Kate Garner, both of Savannah; son, Ellis “Beau” Garner of Savannah; mother, Sherry Garner of Savannah; brother, James Randall “Bubba” Garner of Nashville, Tennessee; grandparents, Emmett and Helen Garner of Savannah, and Doris McMurry of Beech Bluff, Tennessee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tim and Carol Mullinax of Waverly, Tennessee; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his father, Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Douglas and Maxell Gray and grandparents-in-law, Buddy and Evelyn Mullinax and Lonnie Scaggs.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Dustin Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah.
