Nellie Wells

Nellie Sue Wells, 83, of Savannah, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 18, the daughter of the late Willie and Gazelle Davis Doyle.
She was united in marriage to Danny Lynn Wells, who survives.
Nellie attended Savannah Central High School, where she played basketball and later attended Lambuth College. After 30 years as a computer operator she retired from Packaging Corporation of America in Counce. Nellie was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Savannah.
In addition to her husband Danny, she is survived by her children, Charles Wood, Dan Wood and Randy Wood; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Leroy and William Doyle.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, September 22, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Randy Isbell officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
