Nora Lynn Scott, 77, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, Nov. 6. She was born in Joliet, Illinois, on Sept. 23, 1946, the daughter of the late Elmer and Irene Crook Lynn.

Nora worked as a housekeeper for Park Rest Nursing Home, where she loved working and taking care of the elderly. She was a member of Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Nora loved spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren dearly. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Stricklin of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Regina Scott and Dana McFall, both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Shaina Scott, Shelley Copeland, Tonica Beckham, John Beckham, Ronald Stricklin, all of Savannah, Tennessee, and Traci McFall of Knoxville, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Roland, Cyara Alvarado, Hunter Mills, Bella Scott, Jacob Scott, Abby Copeland, Aubrey Copeland, Michael Beckham, Skylar Beckham, Briley Petty, Layden Johnson, Bo Beeler, and Dani Beeler; sisters, Linda Humphrey of Gardner, Illinois, Sue Elliot of Dublin, Virginia, and Tina Wright of Joliet, Illinois; brothers, Elmer Lynn of Joliet, Illinois, Jim Lynn of Wilmington, Illinois, and Gordon Lynn of Joliet, Illinois; and the love of her life, David Scott of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, Nora was preceded in death by one daughter, Dawn Beckham; grandson, David Stricklin; sister, Jeanette Lynn Baker; and brother, Jeff Lynn.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah, with Carl Copeland officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah.
