State Sen. Page Walley (R-Savannah) announced the dates for his 2024 listening meetings which will take place prior to the 2024 legislative session beginning Jan. 9.

This is the second year Walley has held these meetings.

“The communities across all eight of my counties are full of well-informed, civic-minded citizens that have great ideas and important concerns regarding state government,” said Walley. “As their state elected official, it is my privilege and honor to have the opportunity to visit all eight counties and listen to the thoughts and opinions of our citizens.

“We had a lot of engagement with last year’s January listening meetings, and I look forward to doing it again soon. You could say this is becoming a New Year tradition in our district.”

The meeting for Hardin County is set for Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 2 p.m. at Savannah City Hall.

“I encourage all citizens to attend,” added Walley. “This is a great opportunity for me to hear from you prior to the upcoming legislative session. I will also be available to assist with any issues citizens might be experiencing with our state government.”
