Adamsville kicks off its Christmas holiday celebration on Monday, Nov. 27.
The city hosts its annual parade on Main Street starting at 5:30 p.m.
The parade will line up at Adamsville Shackelford Funeral Directors, 303 Old Stage Road, and proceed to Main Street, ending at City Park.
The route is new this year, and instead of going directly to the park, a right turn will be made onto Hardwood Street and then proceed to make a right on Farber Street, so residents and staff at AHC nursing home can also enjoy the procession.
Adamsville City Park is behind Jack’s restaurant, 215 Crowe St., and Santa will disembark from his float to begin “Christmas in the ‘Ville,” festivities, at approximately 6 p.m.
There will be a lot of family fun to be had at City Park, with Santa offering cookies and cake pops.
Cocoa, a children’s train and a jump castle, sports fun zone, snow and Christmas Tree Lighting are some of the event’s highlights.
For the first time, there will also be a scavenger hunt for the family to enjoy.
City Recorder LeAnne McDaniel invites everyone to enjoy “Christmas in the ‘Ville,” which will end around 8 p.m.
“Come on out to our very exciting start of the Christmas season," she said. "Adamsville prides itself on hosting a great holiday celebration and you will not be disappointed.”
