Barbara Murphy

Barbara Sue Briley Murphy, 88, of Savannah, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late David and Euna Briley of Savannah, Tennessee.
Barbara was united in marriage to Arden Murphy Jr., who preceded his wife in death.
She retired from Savannah Manufacturing Company and later baby sat for many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors. Barbara was a member of Counce United Pentecostal Church where she was involved in their Ladies Ministry.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Duncan and Wanda Seratt; son, Randy Murphy; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Don Briley.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers, Dale Briley and Ronnie Briley.
Memorial services were held on Sept. 5, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Glenn R. Miller, Adam Droke and Chuck Seratt officiating. Burial followed at Wesley’s Chapel Church Cemetery in Savannah.
