Blackwelder named to state Chiropractic Board, public reception set for Oct. 5

Midsouth Chiropractic and Acupuncture is hosting a public reception to celebrate Dr. Dale W. Blackwelder’s 25 years of practice and his appointment to the Tennessee Board of Chiropractic Examiners by Gov. Bill Haslam in August.

The reception is being held at Midsouth Chiropractic’s office at 635 Water St. in Savannah from 12:30-2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5.

“Dr. Blackwelder’s individual characteristics and professional qualifications were exceptional among the number of nominees who expressed interest,” Haslam said.

Blackwelder, a lifelong resident of Hardin County, graduated from Hardin County High School in 1987. Following graduation, he attended Union University and then acquired his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Upon graduation in June of 1993, Blackwelder returned to his hometown of Savannah to practice chiropractic.

He was in private practice from July 1993 until November 2015. At that time, Blackwelder partnered with Dr. Casey Bevis at Midsouth Chiropractic & Acupuncture.

The main objective of the Board of Chiropractic Examiners is to protect the health of the citizens of Tennessee. Blackwelder will assist through regulation of the healthcare workforce, enforcement of practice laws, and ensuring adequate levels of professional competence and standards of practice among all Tennessee chiropractors.
