Cathy Bomar

Cathy Ann Bomar, 69, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 11. She was born on Oct. 23, 1954, in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Oscar L. and Mary Ruth Russell Crocker.
On Oct. 23, 1977, she was united in marriage to James Bomar, who survives.
Mrs. Bomar worked in the deli at Kroger and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Savannah. She enjoyed sewing, reading and fishing. Cathy loved spending time with her family and taking care of her daughter, Alisha.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James Bomar; daughters, Kimberly Phillips and her husband Matthew, and Alisha Bomar; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, Virgil Powell; and sister, Beverly Jo Crocker.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Bethel Cemetery in Savannah, with Joe Loncar officiating.
