Savannah honors citizen for contributions to the city

On Thursday, Dec. 4, Savannah’s Mayor Bob Shutt and the city’s Board of Commissioners presented a Proclamation to Randy “Bear” Rinks for his contributions and support to the city of Savannah. The Proclamation announced that the city will be naming the city’s soccer facility located at 940 Cravens Road after him. The city will be naming its soccer facility, the Randy “Bear” Rinks Soccer Complex. City officials stated that Rinks vision, leadership, and advocacy played an instrumental role in the creation and passage of the Tennessee River District, an initiative that promotes and supports tourism and brings economic and recreational opportunities to the citizens of Savannah and Hardin County.
