The body of a missing fisherman from Adamsville was recovered Monday in Hardin County, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said.
TWRA identified the man as Jonathan Finley, 46, and said a chair and fishing equipment believed to be Finley’s were discovered on a bank of the Tennessee River. TWRA reported agents had responded to a call about an unoccupied boat found floating near mile marker 192 on Saturday.
TWRA, the Hardin County Fire Department and the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office had been searching for the missing fisherman since then.
Finley’s death is currently under investigation according to TWRA, marking the 21st fatal boating incident in Tennessee in 2024.
