Andrew Ray Stricklin, 89, of Decaturville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, June 3rd, at AHC Decatur Co. Ray was born on January 26, 1936, in Hardin County to the late William Talmadge and Molly E. (Franks) Stricklin. He retired from Porter Cable in Jackson after 36 years. He was a member of Decaturville First Baptist Church. Ray is survived by his twin sister, Fay (Cletus) Holcombe, of Alabama; a stepdaughter, Jacqueline (Michael) Linton, of Decaturville; a stepson, Melvin Brasher, of Decaturville; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Dean Stricklin; a sister, Mary Smith, three brothers, Eugene, Herbert and Harold Stricklin, and a halfbrother, Lloyd Franks. Funeral service were held on Wednesday, June 4, at Reed’s Chapel in Decaturville, Tennessee, with Keith Cagle officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath Springs, Tennessee.
