Barbara Gail Brown, 77, of Iuka, Mississippi, departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, in Adamsville, Tennessee. She was born on January 22, 1948, in Clifton, Tennessee, to the late Harold S. Brown and Correna Rippy Brown Shaw.
She worked the majority of her adult life in a dry cleaners and lived in Iuka, Mississippi. She loved keeping her mind active and spent a lot of time doing crossword puzzles, cross stitch, ceramics, and loved to keep up with her friends and loved ones through Facebook.
She is survived by two brothers, Ronald Brown (Becky) of Savannah; Anthony Brown (Rose) of Adamsville; three sisters, Gwen Franks (Paul) of Olive Hill, Tennessee; Shellee Harrison of Savannah; Lisa Davison (Tony) of Paducah, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Judy Brown of Savannah; and she is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Christina, Paul, Frances, Pamela, Patrick, Rusty, Angela, Katrina, Sabrina, Stephen, Jared, Alec, Timmy, Kerry, Lorilyn; T.J.; Rachel; and two great-nephews whom she viewed as grandchildren-of-the-heart, Eli and Easton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, David H. Brown and Edgar Ray Brown and a niece Jennifer Davison Rucker
Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 28, at Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church, in Olive Hill, Tennessee, with Tommy Nichols officiating. Burial followed at Havanna Cemetery.
