Betty Adams , 87, of Adamsville, departed this life on Saturday, January 17, in Jackson, Tennesse, the daughter of the late Fred and Molly Walker Gordon.
She was united in marriage to David Edward Adams, who preceded his wife in death.
Mrs. Adams worked as a seamstress for Clifton Manufacturing. She was also a member of First Pentecostal Church in Clifton, Tennessee.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Kay Pevahouse, Teresa Faye Warren, Pamela Sue Bridges, Geneva Ann Hurt, and Paula Joyce Adams; son, Gary Lynn Adams; sister, Wanda Faye Caperton; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Wayne Adams; brothers, Bobby Gordon, Clifford Gordon, L.G. Gordon, Roy T. Gordon, James Thomas Gordon, and William Guy Gordon; sisters, Lockie Roberts, Rixie Blount, Della Boyd, Lella Mae Gordon, and Martha Gordon; and grandchildren, Timothy Dewayne (Tojo) Pevahouse and Charles David Adams.
Memorial services were held on Friday, January 23, at First Pentecostal Church in Clifton, Tennessee, with Bill Martin, Danny Keymon, and Wathon Wilbanks officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Clifton, Tennessee.
