Betty Briley

Betty Jo Higgins Briley, 92, of Savannah, departed this life on Saturday, February 7, the daughter of the late Audrey Zechariah and Maggie Goldie Ledgewood Higgins.
She was united in marriage to Tommy Joe Briley, who preceded his wife in death.
Betty was a wonderful homemaker. Betty was a member of Nixon First Pentecostal Church in Savannah, Tennessee.
She is survived by her daughters, Audrey Gail Sanders and Vivian Keymon; sisters, Janice M. Higgins and Nerva Jean Higgins Kilbury; six grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Jerry David Briley; sons- in-law, Bob Sanders and Jerry Keymon; brother, Alvin E. Higgins; and sisters, Mary K. Higgins and Grace “Tootie” Higgins Clevenger.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, February 11, at Nixon First Pentecostal Church in Savannah, with John Robinson and Larry Harville officiating. Burial followed at Wesley’s Chapel Church Cemetery in Savannah.
