Bill Stricklin, 79, of Savannah, departed this life on Thursday, February 5, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late GC and Nadine Williams Stricklin.
He was united in marriage to Kathy Faye Dodd, who survives.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. Bill worked for Horse Creek Wildlife, where he did tractor and other equipment work. He also did yard work at Points of Pickwick. He attended Pine Hill Church of Christ in Waterloo, Alabama.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his daughter, Glenda Stricklin; brothers, Gary Stricklin and Mark Stricklin; and sisters, Kay Rainey and Christine Balentine.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Stricklin, Johnny Mack Stricklin and Kenneth Stricklin; and sister, Loudean Patterson.
Memorial services were held on Monday, February 9, at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah, with Steve McFall officiating. Burial followed at White’s Creek Cemetery in Savannah.
