Charlene Briley

Charlene Eaker Briley, 93, of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, March 13, the daughter of the late Willie T. Eaker and Beatrice Tate Eaker-Hughes.
She was united in marriage to Billy Briley, who survives.
Charlene was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church since 1959 and served on the church’s choir and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was also a member of “The Redeemers,” quartet from 1970 until 1978.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Billy Briley; son, James Brewington; daughter, Debbie Hardin; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her brothers, Dan Eaker, Lenard Eaker and John-William Eaker; and great-grandchild, Montana Skye McCoy.
Memorial services were held on Tuesday, March 18, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Savannah, with Rev. Randy Isbell and Carter Carroll officiating. Burial followed at Wesley’s Chapel Church Cemetery in Savannah.
