Charles Edward Prince, 87, of Savannah, departed this life on Wednesday, April 8, the son of the late Ernest E. and Irene Wood Prince.
He was united in marriage to Janiece Russell, who survives.
Charles worked at Packaging Corporation of America for over 40 years as a pipe welder in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Shriners and Masonic Lodge - Savannah #102. Charles was an active participant in the Masonic Lodge and Shriners events, fundraisers, and cookouts. He was an avid supporter of the Shriners Hospital for Children. Mr. Prince was a member of Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah.
He is survived by his wife, Janiece Prince; daughter, Marty Alexander; son, Hollis Prince; and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Prince and James Prince.
Private graveside services were held at Neill Cemetery in Savannah, with Lannis Lindsay officiating. Burial followed at Neill Cemetery in Savannah.
