Charlotte Cromwell

Charlotte Fowler Cromwell, 86, of Savannah, departed this life on Saturday, April 4, the daughter of the late Harold L. and Clarice Shaw Fowler.
She was united in marriage to Billy Carl Cromwell, who preceded his wife in death.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Cromwell worked as a secretary for Judge C. Creed McGinley. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah.
She is survived by her children, Laura Umphrey, Susan Vickery , and Bill Cromwell; sisters, Linda Channell and Julie Polk; brothers, Tommy Fowler and Mike Fowler; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband; Charlotte was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary Blount.
The family requests memorial donations be made to The Darryl Worley Cancer Center or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 7, at Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah, with Cameron Vickery officiating.
