Elaine Sowell
Elaine Ford Sowell, 73, of Savannah, departed this life on Saturday, December 20, the daughter of the late Willard and Goldie Banks Reaves.
She was united in marriage to Kevin Sowell, who survives.
Elaine was employed at East Hardin Elementary School as a cafeteria worker. She attended Cornerstone Baptist Church and Piney Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Sowell; daughters, Tammy Laine Reaves and Michele Barrier Hart; son, Jeffery Dale Barrier; brother, William Vernon Reaves; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou Hubbard; and brothers, Maynard Lee Reaves, Donnie Aaron and Willard Ray Reaves.
Memorial services were held on Friday, December 26, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah; with Daniel Holt and Jerry Carr officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Savannah, Tennessee.
