Gladys Lancaster

Gladys Lancaster, 91, of Savannah, departed this life on Sunday, May 3, the daughter of the late Frank Kirby and Grace Jarvis DeClue.
Gladys worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri until her retirement in 2002. . She was a member of Peoples Tabernacle Church in Savannah.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Lancaster; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her sons, Steven Lancaster and Alan Lancaster; sisters, Mary Waller and Verna Belfield; brothers, Jimmy Kirby and Jerry Kirby; grandchildren, Aaron Lancaster and Derrick Lancaster; and her former spouse and best friend, Gordon Lancaster.
Memorial services were held on Thursday, May 7, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Josh Franks officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath Springs, Tennessee.
