Hardin County Chamber of Commerce seeks nominations for service awards

UPDATE, JAN. 26 – The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced the Annual Distinguished Community Service Awards Banquet is postponed due to the increase of COVID-19 numbers in the county.

According to the board, the event will be rescheduled and awards nominations will now close on Monday, March 28.

ORIGINAL STORY -- The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations from the public for its 26th Annual Distinguished Service Awards to be presented at the Chamber Banquet on Thursday, Feb. 24.

Nomination forms must be submitted to the chamber by Monday, Jan. 24, in order to be considered.

The awards open for nominations are:

Individual categories

Man of the Year

Woman of the Year

Educator of the Year

Volunteer of the Year

Darryl Worley Public Servant

Young Professional of the Year (40 and under)

Going the Extra Mile (GEM)

Group categories

Noel Freeman Community Service

Small Business of the Year–under 25 employees and in business for at least two years

Business of the Year–more than 25 employees and in business for at least two years

Nomination forms are available at the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce office inside the Tennessee River Museum on Main Street in Savannah, on the chamber’s Facebook page, or by emailing info@hardincochamber.com.
