James “Jimmy” Glenn Nesbitt, 84, of Savannah, died on Tuesday, September 8, at his home.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Glenn Grimes Nesbitt and Arbie Lucile Godwin Nesbitt.
He was united in marriage to Janice Louise Gray, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Nesbitt was a farmer. For many years, he devoted himself to growing row crops and raising hogs and cattle, alongside his brother Charles.
He is survived by his stepson, Jerone Trent Stricklin; and one grandson, both of Savannah; sister, Doris Lucile Hughes of Adamsville; and brother, Charles Franklin Nesbitt of Savannah.
He was a member of Mountain View Church of Christ in Savannah.
Services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah with Joe Paul Bryant and Lannis Lindsay officiating. Burial followed in the Piney Grove Cemetery at Savannah.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Piney Grove Cemetery Fund or Mountain View Church of Christ in Savannah.
