Jan Joseph Pontiff, 67, of Counce, died on Monday, July 13, in Savannah.
He was born in Houma, Louisiana, the son of the late Joseph Junius and Betty Trahan Pontiff.
He was united in marriage to Vickie Marie Chauvin, who survives.
Mr. Pontiff spent most of his life in Southern Louisiana, where he worked as a production operator for Wood Group.
In addition to his wife, Vickie Pontiff, he is survived by his children, Jed Pontiff and Melanie Pontiff Pellegrin; sisters, Rhonda Dixon and Nancy McGee; and 11 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Fred James Pontiff.
