Jewell Shepherd

Jewell Mae Shepherd, 98, of Memphis, formerly of Crump, went to her eternal home on Sunday, May 17.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Shep” Shepherd; infant daughter Sherrill, one granddaughter; parents, Clifford Belcher and Mildred Winters; siblings, Garland Belcher, Janiece Gnewikow, Wanda Diven, and twin sister, Joyce; and stepbrother, Butch Belcher.
Jewell was a homemaker and a member of Crump Baptist and Hopewell Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Garrard and Sharon Smith, sons-in-law, Robert Garrard and Tim Smith, five grandsons; five great-great-grandchildren; and stepbrother, Mark Belcher.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 19, at Crump Cemetery, with Billy Joe Kennedy officiating.
