Jo Hazel Grimes Dickson, 92, of Savannah

Jo Hazel Grimes Dickson, 92, of Savannah, died on Thursday, July 2, in Savannah.
She was born in Clifton, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Lige Grimes and Mary Jane Brashier Stricklin.
She was united in marriage to Tommy Lewis Dickson, who preceded his wife in death.
Mrs. Dickson grew up and went to school in Clifton. When she got married, she and Tommy moved to Olive Hill. Years later, she moved to Savannah.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Dickson Lackey of Melbourne, Florida, Beverly Dickson Jones of Savannah, and Belinda Dickson of Savannah; two granddaughters; and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Michael Dickson and longtime companion, Jimmy Hardin.

Services were held on July 8, 2026 at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Barry Bigbie and A.J. Fowler officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
