Mattie “Bernice” Coffman Campbell, 92, of Counce, passed away on Friday, Oct. 24, at her residence, the daughter of the late Andrew Coffman and Elza McMeans in Hardin County, Tennessee.
She was united in marriage to Elmer Lee Campbell, who preceded his wife in death.
Mrs. Campbell worked as a seamstress at Clifton Manufacturing in Savannah. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church in Counce.
She is survived by her son, Lamar Campbell; brother, Billy Coffman; sisters, Virginia Bailey, Diane Bailey, and Joyce Crum; one grandson, and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Campbell; brother, Roy Coffman; sister, Inez Collins; and an angel baby girl.
Memorial services were held on Tuesday, October 28, at Center Hill Baptist Church in Counce, with Keith Driskell officiating. Burial followed at Pisgah Cemetery in Shiloh.
