Norman Holder, 64, of Clifton, died on Friday, July 3, in Panama City, Florida.
He was born in Savannah, son to the late Hollie “Babe” Holder and Mary Lou Russom Wilson.
Mr. Holder was in the United States Navy from August 16, 1983 until July 1, 1987. Following his military service, he worked for 28 years as an English and Literature teacher at Perry County High School. He also served as the school’s assistant band director, and he performed with the community orchestra in Florence, Alabama.
He is survived by his sister, Regina Holder Beaty of Panama City, Florida; and stepbrothers, Charles Templeton of Clifton, Stacy Templeton of Camden, Tennessee, Kenneth Templeton of Clifton and Willard Templeton of Collinwood.
Services were held on Friday, July 10, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah with Danny Duke officiating. Burial followed in the Lebanon Cemetery at Saltillo.
