Peggy Stricklin
Peggy Stricklin, 93, of Savannah, died on Friday, May 22, in Savannah.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Murell and Kate Stanfield.
She was united in marriage to Archie Stricklin, who preceded his wife in death.
Mrs. Stricklin lived in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for 4 years and attended high school there during World War II. She was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church, Cerro Gordo Home Demonstration Club, and Girl Scouts in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Hunt and Kay Rose; sister, Becky Shutt; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Leon Stanfield and Tom Frank Stanfield.
Services were held on Sunday, May 24, at Mount Hermon Baptist Church in Savannah with Artie Rivers and Jonathan Barnard officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
