Ricky Gene Smith, 67, of Savannah, died on Tuesday, September 1, in Savannah.
He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Paul Ray and Marie Brasfield Smith.
He was united in marriage to Betty Young, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Smith honorably served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of Savannah Moose Lodge and the American Legion. He worked for Clements Concrete driving a cement truck in the 1980s and 1990s. Then he went to work at Wolfe Sales (American Food Service) for 32 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Rachel Smith of Selmer and Leah Brooke Smith of Savannah; son, Rickey Gene Smith of Savannah; sister, Pam Johnson of Adamsville; nine grandchildren; and two great granddaughters.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Smith. He was also preceded in death by his special friend, Cheryl Wolfe.
Services were held on Sunday, September 6, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah with Mike Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
