Ronald Joe Hehe, 89, of Saltillo, passed away on Saturday, November 15. He was born on May 6, 1936, in Aurora, Indiana to the late Freeman and Lillian Hehe.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Joan (Bergman) Hehe; his brother, George Hehe of Saltillo, Tennessee; a younger sister, Ellen Poole of Rochester, Kentucky; four children, Denise (Bobby) Mooney of Scotts Hill, Tennessee; Kristi (Don) McNeill of Saltillo, Tennessee; Jim (Regina) Hehe of Sardis, Tennessee; and Amy (Doug) Holder of Saltillo, Tennessee; longtime family member Tommy McNeill of Saltillo, Tennessee, eight grandchildren, Bobby (Bridgette) Finley, Jessica (Kevin) Sexton, Kadi (Landon) Marr, Landon (Lacy) Hehe, Payton (Katie) Hehe, Carson (Sydney) Hehe, Michael (Lacey) Box, and Jonathan (Emily) Holder; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He became a farmer early in his life in southern Indiana. He then moved to Tennessee in the early 70’s where he farmed, raised tomatoes, and ran a dairy goat and cow farm. He loved to go to dances on the weekend. His legacy will continue to live on in his family. A friend wrote “We lost a treasure in our community and a man like this can never be replaced. He was truly loved by his family, neighbors, and friends.”
Memorial services were held on Sunday, November 30, at the Reagan Community Center in Regan, Tennessee.
