Paul Franklin McMullen, 85, Savannah, passed away on Friday, March 6, at Jackson-Madison County Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on June 28, 1940, in Olive Hill, Tennessee, the son of the late Ben F. and Ella McMullen.
Paul was a self-employed welder who took pride in his work and his ability to help others. He treasured his faith in God, enjoyed reading and boating, and was known for his generous spirit and kindness.
He is survived by his nephew, Phillip McMullen of St. Charles, Missouri, and his niece, Sherry McMullen Chauffe of Counce, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John McMullen; and his sister, Sarah McMullen Clement.
Visitation will be held at Shackelford Funeral Home in Savannah, on Friday, March 13, 5 p.m.- 7 p.m., and on Saturday, March 14, 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. Funeral services will follow Saturday’s visitation at 11 a.m. Paul will be laid to rest at Piney Grove Cemetery in Olive Hill, Tennessee, alongside his parents, brother, and sister.
