Vicki Ruth (Taylor) Sliger, 72, of Counce, departed this life on Friday, July 18, in Tupelo, Mississippi. She was born on November 19, 1952, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Curtis and Pat Taylor. On March 9, 1974, she was united in marriage to Douglas L. Sliger, who survives. Vicki was a wonderful wife and mother. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, cross stitching, and crocheting. She was also a fantastic southern cook. Mrs. Sliger was of the Baptist faith. She loved her fur babies. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Douglas L. Sliger of Counce, Tennessee; sons, David Sliger (Karen) of Sharon, Tennessee and Daniel Sliger (LaRae) of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Audrey Browne (Ian), Amelia Yates (Josh), and Cole Sliger (Atlantis Taylor); and great granddaughter, Lily Ruth Browne. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to District 6 Volunteer Fire Department, 3135 Hwy. 226, Savannah, TN 38372. Family will be having a memorial service at a later date for immediate family.
