Agatha Mae Watkins Gentry Pulse, 65, of Middleton, Tenn., passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 22, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.

The wife of Kent W. Pulse, who survives, she was a customer support specialist at Northrop-Grumman for 13 years.

Mrs. Pulse was born Dec. 4, 1945, in Portageville, Mo., to the late Charlie D. Watkins and Jessie McCullough Watkins and lived her early life in Braggadocia, Mo. and her adult life in Tennessee. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Mrs. Pulse was a member of West Memorial Baptist Church.

Services were 11 a.m., Saturday, June 25, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Middleton with Dennis Callahan officiating. Burial followed in Gentry’s Chapel Cemetery.

In addition to her husband, whom she married Aug. 20, 2005, she is survived by two sons and their wives, Jeff Gentry and Kristin of Pocahontas and Mark Gentry and Paula of Savannah; a daughter and her husband, Alice Hill and Jeff of Bartlett; two sisters, Cathy Yeitz of Cherokee, Ala. and Mary Alessi of Middleton; two brothers, Carl Watkins of Tunica, Miss. and Wilson Watkins of Michie; and five grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Nate, Courtney and Cory.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 34 years, Herman Melvin Gentry, who died Aug. 22, 1998; a sister, Reba Mathis; and two brothers, Charles and Harold Watkins.
