Alice Finley, 71, of Adamsville, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, in Adamsville.
She was born in Lobdell, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Albert Edward Stone and Myrtle Azalee Guthrie Stone Waldon. She was united in marriage to Edwin Gilbert Finley, who survives.
Mrs. Finley retired from Johnson Controls in Lexington, Tennessee, and had also worked for Coca-Cola.
In addition to her husband Edwin Finley of Adamsville, she is survived by three sons, Edwin Wayne Martin of Adamsville, Donnie Joe Martin of Savannah and Jackie Edwin Finley of Murfreesboro; two stepsons, Terry Lynn Finley of Adamsville and Richard Neal Finley of Burnsville, Mississippi; four sisters, Patricia Bennett of Harvey, North Dakota, Mavis Finley of Adamsville, Gayle Stephens of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, and Linda Weldon of Paragould, Arkansas; two brothers, John Henry Stone of Rockford, Illinois and Alton Stone of Crump; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Orphis Adell Martin Jr.; a sister, Louise Stone; and a brother, John Edward Stone.
Services were held on Thursday, Nov. 20, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville in Adamsville with W. D. McCollum officiating. Burial followed in the Mars Hill Cemetery at Adamsville.
